Cyber etiquette is a skill that needs to be taught to our children and students. I learned quickly with my own kids that this is not an instinctive skill. Like table manners, digital citizenship ideally starts early and at home. As teenager educators, we play a vital role in continuing their tutelage of the dangers and missteps that await them in the virtual world; errors that can have a potentially lifelong impact on themselves and their peers.
