Symbaloo was incredibly easy to get started. It is user friendly, eye-catching, and, most importantly, useful. I've been using the app as my gateway to everywhere else I frequent on my laptop, including websites, documents, and apps. Symbaloo is free and can be used in the classroom. Teachers can curate content to direct students to the digital content they want them to use. Tiles (links) can be sorted into categories (webmixes) and shared with students and colleagues. The app is also free.
In the classroom, educators can use Symbaloo in a variety of ways. I like the possibility of having each student set up their own Symbaloo page and personalizing it to fit their needs for each subject in which they are digitally active. I think it could be extremely useful for student organization if used school-wide for all subjects, and for personal use if they choose. The image below includes a link to my Symbaloo page.
